On February 25th, the VISD Board of Trustees approved school boundary adjustments effective for the 2020-2021 school year as recommended by the Boundary Analysis and Re-zoning Task Force.
During the fall of 2019, VISD partnered with Templeton Demographics to conduct a study to project future enrollment across the district, and the Boundary Analysis and Re-zoning Task Force began meeting to review current student enrollment, current campus utilization, and future enrollment projections.
The Task Force used this data to create and analyze several zoning options with a focus on ensuring the efficient utilization of campuses while maintaining a neighborhood school concept. In order to achieve this, the Task Force has determined changes are necessary for some current elementary and middle school zones.
